Quick Tip: Clamp + Flash = Awesome!

So at a recent wedding, the boys were getting ready in a locker room. The room was quite nice and simple, but it was TINY! There were 6 guys in total and with all the stuff and bodies everywhere, it was pretty tight. I wanted to do some shots of the groom fixing his hair, but of course the lighting was horrid! Super bright potlights…gotta love hate them 🙂

So what I did was climbed up on the vanity… yes, I climb everything!… and installed a flash that I had on a super-clamp. The flash was fitted with a MagMod MagGrid and the lights in the room were turned off.

I squeezed myself into a corner of the room and got as tight as i possibly could to the mirror. What we got was a cool shot of the groom fixing his hair, with just a cool spotlight on his face.
