Bride on Rock at Rockwood Conservation Area

The bride sits on a rock beside a pond at Guelph’s Rockwood Conservation Area, for a ‘trash the dress’/day-after photoshoot. Keeping the image in black and white was done to bring focus on the bride’s white dress, which stands out against the grey and black landscape. The feathery details of her gown, coupled with the natural elements like the park leaves, water ripples and reflections, inspire fairy-tale imagery.

This photo was taken with a Nikon D750 DSLR at ISO 200, f3.5 aperture, 1/1250th shutter speed with a Nikon Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VRII zoom lens, at 100mm focal length.

Lighting was natural light.
