Frequently Asked Questions

A combination of editorial (fashion-inspired, magazine-like) and photojournalism (natural moments, documentary). I like to call it "directed documentary".

I started my business part-time in 2009 and have been a full time professional photographer since 2013.

I always work with Oliver. He is my assistant / associate and when we are not utilizing lighting, he will grab a camera and shoot as a second photographer - usually at ceremony and reception.

As a professional, I not only have professional-grade camera bodies, lenses and lighting equipment, but I also carry backups. There is only one First Kiss and we are not going to miss it. If you need specifics on brands, camera gear models, etc. (not sure why you would, but...), just send me and email and I'll give you the scoop.

We travel anywhere (worldwide). Travel within the GTA is included for both weddings and engagements. If you require us to travel outside the GTA, we will provide you with a custom quote.

Yes, we do. We have photographed in various places such as New York City, Thailand, Mexico, Las Vegas, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and others. Oliver and I always travel together for all destination work.

My clients value quality versus quantity and on average we deliver anywhere from 600 to 800 images for a wedding and 60-80 images from an engagement session.

I strive to provide you with final images from your wedding in approximately 4-6 weeks.

Definitely. To us, the print is the final product. Albums / Fine Art Books are typically included in our wedding collections. Engagement albums and sign-in books, as well as Fine Art Prints and Wall Art Prints, are available for purchase a la carte. Albums and prints produced by Raph Nogal Photography receive detailed and custom editing and are hand-retouched.

Our digital files are optimized for social media and online sharing. Some of our collections include printable images which you can print yourself, which are optimized for gift-size prints (8x12" or smaller). The digital and printable images are globally edited.

No. I used to and it never provided me with any advantages as the light is always different. We are shooting at different times of year, at different times of the day and with varying weather conditions. Without scouting I can be more creative and embrace spontaneity - this is how I create my best work.

No. We like to concentrate on one thing and do it well, which is photography. I would be happy to refer you to some amazing videographers who are masters of their craft. Send me an email and I will connect you.

You can cancel your contract with us at any time, however any retainers or monies paid are non-refundable. Your date is held exclusively for you and we likely turned down other business as we were booked for your date.

As much as I would love to promise you the world, I can't... so the most realistic answer is that I would do everything in my power to source out another great photographer of similar caliber to be there to cover your wedding day. If that proved to be impossible, I would refund you all monies that you have paid towards your photography service with us.

It seems off-season is a thing of the past and people are embracing the winter and all seasons of the year for their naptuals. Unfortunately,  we don't have any special pricing for these types of situations, but you can always contact us and inquire.

Definitely! Our wedding collections are designed based on our client's average needs, but if you would like something custom and as unique as you, please contact us and we will be more than happy to put together a custom collection for you.

We would love to hear about your wedding day plans and have the opportunity to meet with you in person. Please fill out our Contact Form on our website or give us a call (647.295.6494) to arrange a consultation in our Toronto wedding photography studio.
